Sale Policy
*Before you decide to purchase a Cutie Patootie
bun, I'd like you to check out my Bunny Basics & Lettuce Be
Friends pages. On there, you will find information
I feel is valuable for anyone to learn and better understand rabbits!
All of the information listed on this site
about my rabbits are my own thoughts and personal opinions of each
individual animal. As it is my opinion, I am trying to describe
the animal for you as best as I know how to give you a better idea of
that animal's faults and good points at that particular point in time.
However, this does not mean that I can guarantee the future size or
breeding potential of upcoming breeding age animals or even proven
animals for that matter. I also can not guarantee placement of
animals that are going to be shown either. We all know in the
"showing" world how opinions can vary greatly!
From now on, I will not sell any bred animals that are purchased for
"pet" purposes. Nor will I do any outside breeding as I am looking out for
the health of my herd. Some animals will be sold under a "first
right of refusal" agreement meaning that if the purchaser should want to
sell that animal in the future, I will be the first one the rabbit will
be offered to purchase back.
Pricing
Rabbits are priced at my discretion. Rarer colors or genetics may
affect my pricing as may quantity and availability. That is why I
do not have a specific "set" price for each "group" of rabbits.
See below for the different "groups" available...
Pet Quality Rabbits (absolutely NO pedigree): Rabbits that
are obviously healthy & happy ;) but in my opinion are not to be used
for breeding. Still a perfect companion for any pet home.
$35
*Some "pet" quality rabbits may be priced higher than stated above if
they are a rarer color.
Brood/Breeding Quality (pedigree available): Rabbits that are
either done their showing career and are now producing offspring or, in
my opinion, have the potential to produce nice offspring even though
they are not show potential. Brood animals are a valuable part of
any breeding program.
$40-$100
Show Quality (pedigree available): Rabbits that are promising,
having showing potential and conform well to the ARBA Standard of
Perfection. Again, this is my opinion from my experience from
raising/showing whether the animal is a good representation of it's
breed. Rabbits under 16 weeks of age are much harder to assess, as
they all develop differently and do so over a long period of time.
My opinions again, are about the animal at that said time, as I, nor
anybody else can guarantee how a rabbit will develop over time. I
can however, estimate future size of the rabbit from assessing
the comparison to littermates or individual foot size with Hollands.
(Still no guarantee of placement at shows as stated above.)
$50 and up
* "Group" pricing stated above is a general guideline to what I will
price my rabbits.
* As a rabbit matures, prices may vary according to the development of
the rabbit.
* I reserve the right to refuse a sale at ANY TIME. If I have
received a deposit already and the sale is terminated, the deposit will
be returned. (There are different situations where this will be
enforced)
*Any rabbit with a DQ will be sold with the knowledge of such fault
being present
Holding
A 50% non-refundable
deposit will be required to hold an animal. This will ensure that
the rabbit(s) you are inquiring about will not be sold to someone else.
If I terminate the sale the deposit will be returned, however, if you
decide not to take the animal, the deposit will be forfeited. This
is why it is important that you know for sure who you are interested in
when you inquire to put an animal on hold. If I do not receive a
deposit within a week after the rabbit(s) have been put on hold, it/they
will be put up for sale again.
I will not hold animals for more than two weeks after they have been
purchased as they will be put up for sale again without the money
being returned unless other arrangements have been made for me to
hold the animals. There will be a charge to hold them for a longer
period.
* You may inquire about "on hold" animals as they are not necessarily
sold.
Payment
I accept money orders that can be cashed in Canada, Paypal & cash.
I do not accept personal cheques.
Health Guarantee
I will guarantee a rabbit's health for one week
after purchase. If any health troubles concerning your rabbit are
not reported to us within that time, the animal will not be replaced if
it becomes ill and dies. If a rabbit of equal sex, age & color is
not available for a replacement at that time, there may be a wait until
another of equal value is available. If there is no proper
replacement coming available, I will use my discretion and may choose to
refund the money instead.
The health guarantee will be void if:
~ an animal under 4 months of age is fed ANY greens or veggies
~ traveling stress resulting in death
~ improper treatment or neglect
~ the rabbit was not quarantined for at least a 2 week period or was in
contact with other animals
~ a rabbit (especially a young weaned bunny) does not have quiet time
and is stressed from too much handling
~ the rabbit has pulled it's teeth after it is sold and no longer under
my care
* Will use my discretion with any situation not listed here should any
complications arrive.
I reserve the right to change my purchase policy/health guarantee's as I
feel fit.
Feel free to email me with any questions you may have about your bunny
purchased from Cutie Patootie Rabbitry.
