Peas and Thank You!

This is the page, where I get all mushy and thank all the people in my life that have made a difference in my life. :)
--------------------------------------------------

First off, of course, I owe my family a big 'Thank You'...

Vern, my hubby, my friend (and sometimes the opposite too :P but only briefly ;) I owe you a big THANKS for so many things...
First of all, for purchasing countless rabbits from countless places, and never once complaining about the cost, effort or miles we traveled it took to get them and bring them home.
For always insisting on buying the best rabbit(s) available so we go forwards and not backwards with our breeding program.
For never once questioning why I raise rabbits.
For never complaining about how we plan 99% of our holidays around picking up, dropping off or showing rabbits :)
For understanding that my rabbits are my pride and joy, besides our children, but at the same time a reason to get a break from the children.
For understanding how spending half an hour in the barn can make me a much happier person when I'm having a bad day.
For taking the time to humor me when I say, "Vern look at this one! Vern look at this one!" when we are in the rabbit barn together.
For the countless calls he makes to his dad in town to pick up feed when we run out.
For learning what a good French Lop looks like and trying to figure out what a nice Holland looks like ;)
For doing my chores for me when we are in a hurry to go somewhere and I have myself and the kids to get ready.
For checking the nursery when he gets up before me and he knows somebunny is due... and reports any news back to me.
For being patient with me when a "favorite" bun dies and I carry on like a baby giving me a shoulder to cry on.

Kendall, my sweetheart, I Thank You...
For sharing my enthusiasm when a new litter is born.
For wanting to help me name the bunnies.
For learning the names of the breeds and the colors too.
For asking every time I check over a rabbit, "Is it a good one?"
For warming up baby buns when they get too cold.
For never complaining when Mommy spends way to much time in the barn with the rabbits.
For being excited and asking who won the ribbons and trophies when I return from a "successful" rabbit show.

Thank You Connor, my (Big) Little Man...
For offering to fill up Mommy's water jugs when going out to feed the rabbits.
For pretending to be interested in the rabbits by occasionally asking to hold a bunny to humor me :)
For keeping me company in the barn.
For helping Mommy and Daddy clean the barn and especially for going with Daddy to unload the "goods".
For always remembering to wash your hands when you come in from the barn. (And reminding Kendall & Caden too :)

Caden, my sweet Little Caden.  Thank You...
For coming to the barn to visit the kitties while I do my chores ;)
For paying attention to whichever French Lop happens to be free in the barn.
The memory of when you were two years old, and you caught a baby Frenchie that got out of its cage and put it in a pail for me, sat on it and called 'til mommy came to put it back where it belonged.
For judging the rabbit shows that the kids put on in the barn and occasionally picking a rabbit to win Best of Breed instead of a cat :)

Mom & Dad, I owe you too. A big THANK YOU for many, many things...
For babysitting EVERY time a rabbit show comes round and "booking" the whole year's worth of babysitting for rabbit shows in advance :)
For accepting I am the child that "raises rabbits" ;)
For allowing carrying cages of rabbits in your house that are being delivered, picked up or transported to other rabbit people.
To Mom for listening when I am excited about a new litter & consistently report the news to dad.
For swearing at the Hollands along with me in the winter when they either don't take or raise their litters ;)
For being patient with me when I cry about a rabbit or litter I lost.
For being supportive (or tolerant ;) of my rabbit addiction.
For letting me use your high speed internet whenever we are passing through so I can check out all of my favorite rabbitry sites WAY faster than I can at home.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To my rabbit friends...

Kathy & Judy, my first rabbit friends... Thank You for getting me into this whole mess in the first place ;)

Seriously though, Kathy Thank You...
For letting me haul carriers full of young Frenchies, Mini Lops & Mini Rex into your grooming shop so you could tell me who to keep and who not to keep.
For answering countless questions about rabbits when I first started to show.
For the many, many tattoos you have done for me without asking for a thing in return :)

Judy, Thank You too...
For also helping me decide which buns to keep and not to keep and teaching me why.
For your Mini Lop & Mini Rex advice.
For being my faithful traveling buddy & friend.
For the hundreds of phone calls to chat about rabbits or anything else that was going on in our lives.
For being the one I would phone when I found a "new" color in a litter or especially being there when I needed someone to tell some bad news to.

Leslie, my spiritual bunny friend :)  I Thank You...
For being more than just a rabbit friend.
For sharing your life experiences with me so we can survive the tough times knowing we are not the only ones experiencing them.
For knowing and understanding things that I never thought was possible until I experienced them myself.
For your emotional support and radiating optimism :)

Thank You Colette...
For traveling across the provinces with me to show or pick up rabbits :)
For being the best listener a girl can know.
For offering to take those big Frenchies off my hands when I thought I couldn't keep them, even when you were in the process of moving yourself.
For loving French Lops as much as I do.

My "newest" bunny friend Leah. Thank You...
For the many, many phone calls to chat about bunnies, kids or whatever happens to be going on :)
For your love of Hollands (as we all know they are cuter than Mini Rex ;)
For seriously offering to keep some buns when I thought I had to sell out.
For your rabbit enthusiasm.

Nicole, my long distance bunny friend. Thanks...
For being the friend who literally studies everything there is to know about rabbits, then generously sharing the information with me :)
For making up my pedigree forms for me, and those cute little genetics charts so I will have a clue how to get a certain color :D
For being a doting mom and bunny enthusiast just like me :)
For calling me to buy some Hollands when you first started so we could become the friends we are now.

Jessica, the computer whiz, I Thank You...
For making my web site :D
For teaching me how to resize photos.
For supplying me with every program it took to make this web site possible.
For planning trips out here to visit & to help with my web site :)
For tolerating the Hollands long enough to help me take some of their photos when they were new to us ;)
For the countless phone calls patiently trying to guide me through my computer difficulties.
For your kindness and generosity.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To my acquaintances...

To all the people I have never met, but have corresponded through emails. Maybe some day we will actually meet!
Sherri Evans, Thank You for being the quickest to reply to each and every email I have sent asking questions or inquiring about rabbits.
Kim Posey, Thank You too, for selling me nice stock and for the rabbit chats and other emails too :)
Emily Spencer, Thank You for the great rabbits from your rabbitry as they have helped improve our stock :)
Linda Jinnings, Thank You for the opportunity to purchase Prince and Lucy (and all the other L&R buns)!  They were the key to making the fancy buns we produce now :D

To all the rabbit enthusiasts I have shown with, and all the familiar faces I meet up with at every show...
Thank You for being my bunny friends!
